NWOESC Van Driver Refresher (2 hr) - Option 1
As mandated by Ohio law OAC 3301-83-10(b) , a person cannot continue to transport students in a school district van or car without completing 2 hours of training each year after their first year of driving. This 2 hour refresher course may be used toward your re-certification as a driver.
The Northwest Ohio ESC offers two option to choose from which satisfy this requirement. Please choose either option 1 or option 2. There is different content in each course option.

The Ohio Department of Education & Workforce developed the Driver Refresher Course. The material for this web-based training course comes from the Ohio Driver Training In-service Training Manual.

- Trip Planning
- Pre-Trip Inspection
- Defensive Driving
- Driving Down Steep Grades
- Safe Following Distance
- Stopping for Student Pickup and for Discharging Students
- Railroad Crossing
- Human Trafficking
